Hello!

I'm sitting cross-legged on the backseat, cradling my laptop and watching the Queensland countryside whir by. If only we had another day - I'd hit the theme parks so hard. Of all the lands that exist inside our world, are theme parks not the epitome? What better way to frolic in gorgeous imaginings than from inside the pearly gates of a theme park? Hell, if I lived here I'd be there everyday. I'd fucking live there. I was in Luna park in Melbourne not long ago. A different kind of imagining but a wonderful air in the place. Yes, it is about to fall down but theres something that I like about it still. Maybe I'll apply for a job as a character in a theme park show just so I can live there forever. Oh! And that brings me to The Palais show. Oh it was amazing. I would play there every night if I could. The generous and wonderfully argumentative Dann Hume played electric to complete our lineup and it was a superbly brilliant. The next night we played Festival Hall on the final show with Jason Mraz and Eric Hutchinson. Thankyou to them both for having us along. I nearly died and nearly floated out of the universe on that stage sometimes. And that is a good thing.

Toowoomba tonight, Brisabane tomorrow. Beaches and sun. I ran out of underwear. Bought some more. Fuck I love the first time you put on a new pair of underwear. C'est magnifique!

A few more weeks on the road and then Dann and I will be back in the studio to delve inside the album once more.

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens.
Brown paper packages tied up with string,
