Ever since I was a little girl my ultimate dream has been to play music festivals. As far as festivals go, it seems to me that Glastonbury is arguably the ultimate and therefore I've lately had more trouble than normal convincing myself that I am in fact playing at it and am still very much alive and not in some blissfully deluded wonderland. Or am I?

Hello,

The album! Well, its nearly done! Can you believe it? I certainly
can't! I was in at the mastering studio yesterday with a nice man
called John who put in all the exact right amount of lull between each
track for me.

So now it's just the artwork to be done. I've been scrawling down the
lyrics. There will be a scrapbookish feel in the booklet. A collection
of photographs of my own and doodling and the like.

Tomorrow night is Ed Harcourts gig and the Union Chapel where he
invites other musician friends along to play songs together. We wrote

Dann and I finished the album at 4 AM this morning. Celebratory wine and cigar followed. That's it! Done! I've made an album. Where's my life-goals list? I need to tick that shit off!

I'm going to London on Friday. Back to that gentle big old-soul city. Laura is coming with me. It'll be lovely and warm over there. Summer in London is really something...

Evening,

I'm sitting in Hotel Room 1510 nibbling on Camembert and crackers in between sips of chai tea. We leave for London in two weeks. Jan, Rob and I. Bangers & Mash and I. We drove back from Canberra today and have a few days in Sydney before we go over to Perth for the first of the last three shows of the tour. We sold out both nights at the Hopetoun in Sydney on the weekend - it was packed and sweaty and brilliant. I'm thrilled.

Well, hello,

Everything
is always changing with me, but I can't think of much specific that has
changed since last Friday. Well, no, that's not true. Coin Laundry was
added to Triple J and FBI and since yesterday afternoon Dann (Hume from
Evermore) and I have reconvened to continue the unfurling of album
number one.

Peony Smith is drawing me an illustration for these
library bags to sell at shows. She had better hurry her little pencils
along - the tour is drawing closer each day. I won't spoil the surprise

    Slept amazingly last night. I always have a few terrible nights sleeps and then I smash it on the third night.
    Tour is getting ever-closer. I'm designing library bags today to sell at the merchandise table. T - Shirts are boring - everyone uses those material library bags for everything - grocery shopping, going to the library, general putting of things. I carry my laptop around in one.
